Offset paper has the difference between single-sided and double-sided. Offset paper contains a small amount of cotton and wood fibers. The paper surface is white and smooth, but the whiteness, compactness and smoothness are lower than that of coated paper.
When it is suitable for color printing, it can be used to align the printed matter with dim color. It can be used to print simple graphics and paste it on the yellow board. The carton can also be pressed into corrugated paper with a machine and placed in a small box.

Offset paper, also known as offset printing paper, is a relatively high-grade printing paper, which is generally designed for offset printing machines for book or color printing. Offset paper is divided into single-sided offset paper and double-sided offset paper, and there are super calendering and ordinary calendering.

(1) Raw materials of offset paper and properties of offset paper. Offset paper is generally made of bleached softwood chemical pulp and an appropriate amount of bamboo pulp. When processing offset paper, the filling and sizing are heavier. For some high-grade offset paper, surface sizing and calendering are also required. Because offset paper uses the principle of water-ink balance when printing, it needs paper with good water resistance, dimensional stability and strength. Offset paper is mostly used for color prints. In order for the ink to restore the color of the original, it is required to have a certain degree of whiteness and smoothness. Offset paper is generally used for printing picture books, color illustrations, trademarks, covers, ring backing, high-end books and this volume. In recent years, due to the improvement of people's culture and living standards, book materials have also developed to high-end, and more and more books and periodicals are printed using offset paper. Because offset paper has the advantages of whiteness, flatness and fineness, the books and periodicals are made with clear text and the books are flat and not easily deformed. Compared with bald editions and newsprint books, the grades are very different, which is very popular among readers and users. The number of book bound with offset paper will increase in the future to meet market needs.
(2) Specification of offset paper. The specifications of offset paper are the same as the above two types of paper. For other specifications, you can visit the national standard GB147 "The size of base paper for printing, writing and drawing". The size error and skewness must not exceed ±3mm. There are many types of offset paper, and the commonly used ones are 60, 70, 80, 90, 120, 150, 180, 200, 250g/m2. The offset paper for printing books and periodicals is below 90g/m2, and the cover is between 70-200g/m2. Offset paper has the characteristics of stiffness and smoothness, and is easy to bind and process.

②Any folding machine can achieve good folding effect, especially suitable for high-speed folding.
③The volume of offset paper books and periodicals should be designed with less than three fold pages (you must not design four fold pages). It is best to apply the cover after two folds (over 80g/m2), because the offset paper is thick and has a large basis weight, and there are too many folds in the signature. ④ When the number of sheets or thickness of the bare paper is the same as that of the bare paper, the diameter of the big wire should be medium.
⑤ The viscosity of the adhesive is larger (thicker) than that used for baldness paper, because the offset paper has a large basis weight and a smooth surface, and the viscosity is low (thin) and it sticks weakly or falls off after sticking.
⑥The hardcover book block of offset paper is not easy to round and ridge, especially when the post is thick. Because the offset paper is slippery, it is easy to expose each signature after the rounding and the shape of the ladder at the front mouth; when the ridges are raised, the wrinkles in the creases cannot be smoothed due to manual knocking, which causes defective products.
⑦ Offset paper is generally used for making books and periodicals, so the cover material should be better than the book core material to match the inside and outside of the book.
